Godnook is a calm nightly Bible-story ritual for families with young children. A parent sets it up, and each night there is a gentle story to listen to or read together, ending in a short reflection and a prayer.
You can try a membership free for 7 nights. During the trial you get a new story every night, there is no charge until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then and pay nothing. Membership is a subscription billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account:
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. If you do not want to continue, just cancel before the trial ends.
You control your subscription through the store you bought it from, and you can cancel any time:
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, open Godnook, go to the membership screen, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
You can permanently delete your account and its data from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and profile information. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store.
Stories play with the screen off and over the lock screen. If audio does not start, check that your device is not on silent, that the volume is up, and that you have a working internet connection, then reopen the story. If it still fails, email us with your device model and we will help.
You can turn the nightly reminder on or off, and set its time, in Settings inside the app. Reminders are scheduled on your device. If they do not appear, check that notifications are allowed for Godnook in your phone's system settings.
